BANANA OR PLANTAIN PEPPER CHIPS
INGREDIENTS
Raw banana / plantain

4 nos

Salt
|
T.T.
|
Black pepper pdr
|
T.T.
|
Oil
|
For deep frying
|
METHOD:
1.
Wash and rinse the raw bananas under running
water. Pat dry.
2.
Peel them lightly just enough to remove out the
thick outer skin.
3.
Heat oil till it is smoking hot, keep on a
medium flame.
4.
Using a potato slicer thinly slice the chips
directly into the hot oil.
5.
Fry them till they are light brown or atleast
till the edges of the chips start to turn brown.
6.
Remove them on to an absorbent kitchen napkin.
7.
Sprinkle salt and black pepper on it while still
hot.
8.
Allow to cool and store in an airtight
container.
9.
These can be consumed during fasting / upwas. The
only difference being to avoid the pepper pdr.
