TAKLOO ALOO

INGREDIENTS

Baby potatoes
8 – 10 nos
Jeera pdr / cumin pdr
¼ tsp
Garam masala pdr
¼ tsp
Chaat masala
¼ tsp
Chilli pdr
½ tsp
Amchoor / dry mango pdr
¼ tsp
Lemon juice
½ lemon
Coriander leaves
2 sprigs
Salt
T.T.
FOR TADKA
 
Oil
1 tbsp
Jeera / cumin
¼ tsp
Rai / mustard seeds
¼ tsp
Heeng / asafoetida
¼ tsp
Haldi  / turmeric pdr
¼ tsp

 

METHOD:

1.       Boil the baby potatoes. Add little salt in it while boiling. Peel them.

2.       Mix together the jeera pdr, garam masala pdr, chaat masala, chilli pdr and Amchoor.

3.       Heat oil, add in the rai, jeera and haldi. Add the potatoes and fry them for some time first on high heat to get them a little brownish in colour from outside and then lower the flame.

4.       Sprinkle on the potatoes the mixed spices and sauté well. Add salt but sparingly as we had added some salt while boiling the potatoes.

5.       Switch off the flame and sprinkle lime juice. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and more chaat masala if desired.
