DESSICATED COCONUT MODAK

INGREDIENTS

Dessicated coconut
2 ½ cups
Milk
1 cup
Sugar
1 cup
Elaichi pdr
¼ tsp

 

METHOD:

1.       Mix together the milk and sugar. Bring to boil.

2.       Simmer and make syrup of 1 string consistency. Switch off flame.

3.       Add the elaichi pdr to the dessicated coconut and put the entire thing in the syrup immediately.

4.       Mix well and allow to cool till you can handle the mix with your bare hands.

5.       Again mix it up well with your hand.

6.       Apply a little ghee to the modak press and put the prepared mixture through it to shape as modaks.
