MICROWAVE GRATED AWLA SUPARI / AMLA OR INDIAN GOOSEBERRY SUPARI / आवळा सुपारी


Sharing with you all a quick and easy Awla / Amla or Indian Gooseberry Supari in the microwave. The entire tedious process or drying out in the sun is completely eradicated. Have a little of it as a digestive after meal.


AWLA SUPARI / आवळा सुपारी 

INGREDIENTS

Awla / amla / indian gooseberry
25 – 30 nos
Ginger
2 inches
Salt
T.T.
Sendha namak / Rock salt
T.T.
                      
METHOD:


1.       Grate the awla and the ginger.


2.       Mix both together. Apply salt and black salt to it.


3.       Leave it for 2 – 3 min.

4.       It will start giving out moisture.


5.       Squeeze out as much of the juice as possible. Don’t throw away the juice. Use it to make Tangy Awla Sherbet.

6.       In a microwave make small batches of the mix.

7.       As and when you grate 4 awlas start making the supari.

8.       Keeping it for too long will make the final product black.


9.       Spread out the squeezed out grated awla directly on to the microwave plate.

10.   Microwave for around 2 min on high.


11.   After that keep on stirring and mixing at every 1 min interval till the supari gets dry and crumbly.

12.   Do not allow it to burn.


13.   Remove and cool. Store in an airtight jar immediately.


14.   You can have a little after a meal. It acts as a digestive.
